The most important thing is whether it is necessary to rush a baby who is not ready to be born at all? Let's find out what doctors think about popular folk methods and find out how safe they are.
1. Squatting floors
If you wash your entire apartment squatting, and then go to the hospital, will it be faster to give birth? It is this development of events that pregnant women expect, resorting to this folk method at a later date. Here are just doctors categorically against it. They argue that excessive physical exertion can provoke premature detachment of the placenta. As a result, childbirth, of course, will begin faster, but there is no guarantee that they will go well.

Expectant mothers can clean the apartment - except when there is a threat of termination of pregnancy. Only for this it is better to use modern appliances - a regular or washing vacuum cleaner, a squeegee with a squeeze. Do not wash the floors with your hands: when moving in a bent position, the load on the spine increases, and for a pregnant woman it is dangerous, it can lead to squeezing the abdomen. Sweeping with a broom is also not necessary, so as not to breathe the rising dust.
An alternative to this activity is to collect matches scattered throughout the room, squatting. this position allows the prepartion of the fetus to fall down and put pressure on the cervix, contributing to its physical opening.
2. Walking the stairs
Walking is very helpful. In the maternity hospital, the midwife may even advise the pregnant woman to climb the stairs a couple of floors - this will really speed up the completion of the first stage of the birth. When a woman walks, the cervix expands, and it becomes easier for the baby to move.

It is important not to overdo it, because overwork and exhaustion of the body is fraught for the future mother with the development of a number of complications:
- dyspnea;
- hypertonicity
- tachycardia;
- risk of injury (comfortable clothes and shoes with non-slip soles will help to avoid injuries to the pregnant woman).
3. Carpet knocking
Pregnant women may be advised to clean the carpet. It is widely believed that with the help of such physical activity it is possible to cause childbirth.However, it is more likely that, knocking out the carpet, the woman will simply get very tired, and she will no longer have the strength to give birth. Moreover, this is the most harmless of the possible consequences of overwork.
4. Sex
During lovemaking, oxytocin begins to be produced in the body, under the influence of which childbirth begins faster. Also, male sperm contains prostaglandins, which accelerate the maturation and opening of the uterus. Thus, doctors confirm that intimacy is one of the most effective methods of natural stimulation of childbirth. However, having sex before childbirth is possible only in the absence of contraindications and provided that the water has not yet departed, otherwise there will be a risk of infection.

5. Breast massage
Another way that a medicine approves of giving birth is to massage the breast, or rather, the area of the nipples. With stimulation of the nipples, the uterus contracts, and this is the beginning of labor.
It is necessary to massage 2-3 times a day for 15 minutes, doing stroking and tingling. Statistics show that this method does not help all pregnant women. However, massage will still be useful, as it will prepare the breast for feeding. Only it is impossible to prevent painful and unpleasant sensations so as not to accidentally injure the mammary glands.
6. Castor
It is believed that before giving birth it is useful to drink castor oil: supposedly it has a laxative effect, and under the influence of a contracting intestine, the uterus will also begin to contract. In fact, this method of stimulating labor is risky. Castor can cause severe indigestion, vomiting and subsequent dehydration, which is extremely dangerous for mom and baby.
7. Window washing
Periodic tension of the muscular corset of the front surface of the body (when you raise your arms and stretch up) sometimes leads to tone the muscles of the uterus.
8. Tea made from raspberry leaves
Our great-grandmothers called birth, taking a decoction of raspberry leaves. This drink prepares the walls of the uterus and speeds up the onset of the process. It is believed that if you drink such a decoction during contractions, then the second stage of childbirth will be much faster than usual. Therefore, if a young mother has some structural features of the pelvis or has health problems, it is better not to use this method, because of the speed of the process, the doctors will not have time to take the necessary measures.
9. Hot tub
Taking a hot bath with a temperature of no higher than 38 degrees will help the body relax, and prepare the body for childbirth. However, this method should be taken with caution. Too long water procedures in hot water can lead to an increase in blood pressure, provoke dizziness or weakness. It is recommended to take a bath no more than 15 minutes.
10. The view that contractions have already begun
Childbirth begins in the head - this is a proven medical fact, explained by the fact that any processes in our body are regulated by the brain. The beginning of fights helps a strong concentration of thought, self-hypnosis and a real idea of cramping sensations.
Advice to all women who are soon going to become mothers: experiment less and be patient. Your baby will be born after 9 months, like all other children in the world. If there is a risk of pregnancy pregnancy, doctors will offer safer ways to stimulate labor.

Video: Natural birth control methods! How to speed up childbirth
From my own experience I’ll say that walks help very well, just don’t walk far from home and it is advisable to walk with someone for longer periods!
I was scheduled for delivery on May 4, but the baby was in no hurry) I went to the prenatal department, because my husband worked on shifts, and I was afraid that the delivery would begin when he was at work, and there the girls and I 4 times day walked around the hospital. On the eve of childbirth, we walked for 2 hours walking steps, and in the evening fights began!
It seems to me that some ways are too much. All my pregnancy I tried to be active, to the best!, And I had no complications. She gave birth to a child at 40 weeks, everything is natural. And the above tips are essentially what you can do throughout your pregnancy. Active lifestyle, intimacy and in no case do not perceive yourself as a vase. More fresh air to breathe and walk. And not just before giving birth abruptly start everything.
I’ll tell you about another way (only this is not advice !!!!!), invented by me personally and which worked both times. I had children during two pregnancies; the doctors scared all the time what they would put in the hospital and stimulate the delivery. For the first time the day before I went to the hospital, I wanted to “tear” my soul: I fry peanuts in the oven and sat down to watch a movie. In the morning the waters receded. It turned out that peanuts contributed to this (as the doctor told me). I had already deliberately provoked the second birth with peanuts, because I had been carrying a baby for 42 weeks, and it was already, as it were, “time”.
It's funny, but both times roasted peanuts have become a great stimulant. But there is one side effect: digestive upset. Therefore - I do not advise anyone!
It is bad to have a baby, so I approve of stimulation. You just need to remember that everything is good in moderation. Of these methods, I used at least, but not on the stairs, but simple walks around the house. I also drank butter, but I was afraid of castor, so it was olive. All this did not give effect, at least instantly. The daughter was born when she wanted to.
Many women are confident that sex has helped them stimulate labor. There are even some hypotheses why this happens. It is believed that during intercourse a man’s penis stimulates the cervix, and prostaglandins, which are contained in semen, help to relax tissues and open the uterine pharynx; In addition, the hormone oxytocin is released in the body of a woman, which also stimulates childbirth.
